This summer young people from Takeover Radio 106.9fm and 103.2fm will be joining forces to produce programming round space exploration. Some of the young people came together for the first time at the National Space Centre where Tamler and Andy looked after us and told us all about space. We discovered the size of the universe, built our own rockets and watched as Andy made a comet. A great day was had by all.
The programmes will be made over the summer and aired in the autumn.
Takeover Radio 106.9fm worked with a group of young people from Hillocks Primary School to produce a programme about the terrible battle of the Somme.
They did a fantastic job, the show can be heard by clicking on the link below.
Sophie Dunn the class teacher had this to say at the end of the project.
"Thank you Phil very much for coming in and working with the children, I know that they really enjoyed it and wished they could have had a few more sessions! I can't wait to get them all together and play them the final piece!"
Young singers at Takeover Radio studios line up to audition for a chance of a lifetime. The young people have been selected to sing their own composition or a cover version live on air and compete for the big prize. One winner, selected by judge Adam Faires will go on to win the chance to have their own song produced and recorded by top record producer Anthony Goldsborough in London. Anthony has worked with the likes of Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Peter Andre, The Saturdays, Bonnie Tyler and many more.
