  SToneDlove'S GOLDEN OLDIE BATTLE TRAX - ULTIMATE CHAMPION  
 
On Thursday 27th May 2010, the last ever edition of SToneDlove's Golden Oldie Battletrax took place.

It saw series 2 champion, THE Alex Miles (with Robin S's "Show Me Love") take on 2010 Champions League winner Jack Lil (with Motorhead's "Ace of Spades")

This would be the final ever Battletrax as the Dave Show was moving to the timeslot of 11am til 3pm, and with the Hairbrush Hour included for all the Golden Oldies, there's sadly no place for the Battletrax anymore.

But, the contest went out with a bang.... lines were open for an hour and there were hundreds (honestly) of votes to crown THE Alex Miles as THE ULTIMATE CHAMPION!
 
  GOLDEN OLDIE BATTLE TRAX - CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2010  
 
During the month of January, SToneDlove's Golden Oldie Battle Trax took a break and was replaced with a new competition, which in all honesty was almost the same!

This time, however, there were 21 Former Champion Listeners with their Champion Tunes taking place in a knock out competition in the hope of becoming the Ultimate Golden Oldie Battle Trax Champion 2010, and also discovering just what is Leicester's favourite Golden Oldie of 2010!!

It all began on Monday 4th January with the 1st Round taking place, followed by the 2nd a week later with more fomer champions joining in.

On Friday 29th January, the Champion of Champions was declared as JACK LIL
The Best Golden Oldie Tune for 2010 was voted as "ACE OF SPADES" by Motorhead

  SToneDlove'S GOLDEN OLDIE BATTLE TRAX  
  SToneDlove's Golden Oldie Battle Trax is now back and has been since Monday 1st February 2010, when current 3-time Champion Scarlett returned with her champion tune, "Sadeness Part 1" by Enigma, to take on a whole new bunch of challengers with their challenger tunes in an attempt to remain as Champion of The Battle Trax.

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT???
Each day, two listeners go up against eachother with their choice of a classic older track. Once each track has been played out in full, the listeners then decide which one they like best and therefore select a winner.

The winning track becomes the "Champion Tune" and the winning listener becomes the "Champion Listener". The champion also goes up against another listener the next day.

Why is it called SToneDlove's Golden Oldie Battle Tracks? Well, because he came up with the best name for the feature and also perfected the jingle for the feature!!
