ALL ABOUT DAVE SHOW...

				Dave has now been presenting on Takeover Radio for over 4 years and it all started thanks to a mate's involvement with the station. Back in February 2006, Dave's mate from school Gareth Hussey was presenting the Lunchtime Show and wanted to have a week off for once. So Dave stepped in to cover the show for the week. A month later, Gareth moved away due to other work commitments so Dave took over on Monday 20th March 2006 with the brand new "Lunchtime Show" - this name wouldn't last long though. Some time in April 2006, then-Breakfast presenter Mike Watson started referring to the show as "The Dave Show" - and that's a name that has stuck ever since. So there you go, that's the explanation behind "The Dave Show" name...

In July 2006, Dave's other half Becki popped in to the studio's to record some jingles for the show. One of them was "This Is The Dave Show on Takeover Radio" - this later became "This Is The Dave Show" and then shortly followed by the now infamous jingle "Dave Show, Dave Show"... WOW! WHAT A FACT!!

Infact, Becki's involvement with the show wouldn't end there as she often became the co-presenter on the show on many occasions. Even today you will get to hear her appear on the show, but much rarer now due to her own working commitments - she's a "full-time mum"!!

The bickering, arguing and banter was all 100% genuine, but it's something everybody could connect with! Often imitated, but never equalled - Dave Show & Bex Show!

Great news was to follow in June 2010 when their first child, little daugher Skyla Roxanne was born. Their second child, set to be another daughter, is due to be born in October 2011.

WHERE'S THE BEST PLACE IN LEICESTER?: The view of the city from Ingold Avenue in Beaumont Leys - it looks great on a clear day! Also the viaduct near the Walkers Stadium as I've got some great memories there from when I was a kid and the canal-weir near the Kirby & West factory for the same reasons. Also I liked a certain nightclub that no longer exsists, but it's where I met Becki!!

HOW DO YOU WAKE UP?: At 5.42 in the morning, then 5.51am, then 6.00am - thanks to the snooze button on my Mobile Phone's Alarm!

BEST ADVICE FOR 2011?: Stay Fresh, Stay Dry, Stay Warm and remember to "STAY TUNED MAN" to Takeover Radio throughout the day!
