Tom Ross Joined Takeover Radio in 2002 and has
had his own Saturday lunch-time show for 3 years. After going
through the normal process of training Tom joined The Next
Generation show and after a short spell on their went on to
co-present the sunday lunch-time show with Danny. After 8 months
doing the sunday show, Tom was asked to take up the infamous
Saturday lunch-time show and has been there ever since.
During his time at Takeover Tom has interviewed many celebs and
local bands. Takeover sent Tom down to London to present Takeover
Radio to members of Parliment, he has interviewed Mcfly, Scouting
For Girls, Many celebs at the Bafta Awards and organises all our
summer events and outside Broadcasts. Tom is also one of our older
weekend Presenters at Takeover.
When asked what his show offers Tom explained:
"My show is your easy listening Saturday lunch-time radio show,
that is on in the background playing you some real feel good tunes.
When you've got two seconds you text in and ask for your song and
within 5 or 10 minutes it's on. Also I sometimes have local and
national bands in the studio playing live acoustic sets and
interviews."
"I'd like to think of my show as being a show that cheers you up
and puts a smile on your face on a Saturday afternoon."
